Mērnieki -Vecsalaca

The best way to get to know the Salaca and its beautiful views is by going on a boat trip. In the section Mērnieki - Vecsalaca there are both long and calm sections surrounded by beautiful rocks, as well as quite fast, rapid and stony sections. In many places the water level is low, so be careful of rocks that are hidden both under this shallow water and of the water grass. There are several resting places on the section, where boaters can stop ashore and bend their legs or take a lunch break.
