Three bridges route

When you go on the Three bridges bicycle trip, you’ll get to know and see the sourroundings of Salacgriva town. At the starting point in the Salacgriva tourist information office, grab a map so you don’t get lost. Continue in the direction of Valmiera street and after 3 km you’ll reach the first bridge across Jaunupe river. Just so you know – Jaunupe is especially popular for boat trips early in the spring – this information might come useful when you plan your spring holidays. Just a little further you’ll find Annasmuiža ferroconcrete bridge across the Salaca. Make a pause, rest on the bridge, check out the surroundings and by following road signs continue in the direction to town (3km). You can stop in Vecsalaca at the horse stable where you can test your courage by riding on a horse in the accompaniment of the host. From August till October you can visit the First Salaca lamprey weir where you can enjoy the tasty lampreys of Salaca. When you return to the town and cross the third (and final) bridge of this route, celebrate it by going for a nice lunch!
